Forest Hills may not resemble a typical Washington neighborhood, but its unique layout and modern architectural styles have been key reasons for its perennial popularity. North of Cleveland Park and west of Rock Creek Park, Forest Hills is surrounded by mature trees which are responsible for lending the neighborhood its eponymous epithet. The neighborhood’s close proximity to Connecticut Avenue and Van Ness Center provides offers ideal access to restaurants, shops, and libraries, as well as Metro and Rock Creek Park.
